Hensby responds to his suspension

The PGA Tour announced yesterday that Mark Hensby is suspended until October 26, 2018 "for failing to provide a drug testing sample after notification." The Tour went on to make it clear that they would have no further comment. Today, Hensby provided a statement to Golf Digest's Brian Wacker. That statement appears below via Mr. Wacker's Twitter account:


It all sounds plausible and see no reason not to believe Mr. Hensby's version of the story. Hopefully, this time away from the game will allow him to find some clarity on his future. I also hope his story proves to be a warning to all of the other members of the tour that the PGA Tour intends to take their new drug policy seriously.
