More Details on the USGA and FOX Partnership

Fox to Air More Than 150 Hours of USGA Championship Coverage | via Brian DePasquale for USGA.org

FOX Sports, the domestic broadcast partner of the United States Golf Association, will air more than 150 hours of live coverage across nine 2018 USGA championships, including more than 45 hours on FOX, FS1 and FOX Deportes and continuous live streaming on FOX Sports Go from the 118th U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, in Southampton, N.Y. FOX Sports will also provide live coverage from the U.S. Women’s Open, U.S. Senior Open, U.S. Senior Women’s Open, four USGA amateur championships and the 40th Curtis Cup Match.

It's great to see the other USGA Championships getting so much television love. The Men's and Women's U.S. Opens have had extensive coverage for years of course. To be able to easily watch significant coverage of the Curtis Cup, U.S. Junior Amateur, and even a little live coverage of the U.S. Mid-Amateur will be a nice treat.

Now, let's hope that the actual FOX broadcasts continue to improve. Each year has been a little better than the last with a few exceptions. The team, whoever they end up being, will have ample opportunity to practice with so many hours of television to fill. I'm excited and hopeful this turns out to be as good as it sounds on paper.
